When you are a global icon your every move is under the watchful eye of the press. Your every move is scrutinized and these days of social media some have even styled themselves as lip readers purporting to know what you just said to those closest to you whom you are having an intimate private conversation with. It’s never easy and is always a balancing act.

Meghan’s husband Prince Harry has a cousin, Princess Eugenie  who wed her longtime boyfriend Jack Brooksbank at Windsor Castle; and the expectation was that all eyes would be on the bride. This meant that out of consideration not to outshine the bride Duchess Meghan had to use her clothes to convey a message. The message the Duchess sent out was no eyes on me and all eyes on the bride so she wore an unassuming navy blue coat.. She wanted the bride to shine.
