Duchess Meghan and her husband Prince Harry believe that compassion is the defining cultural force of the 21st century. Consequently, the work that they do supports local and global, online, and offline communities one act of compassion at a time.
They attended the Fall One 805 LIVE Festival on Friday, September 22, which was held at Kevin Costner’s beachfront estate. The annual festival is the flagship event for the One805 nonprofit, which supports all three primary first responder agencies in Santa Barbara, California. To help raise funds and celebrate the heroes, an annual music festival.
The handsome Prince presented Kevin Costner with an award. He never made it a secret that he waited a long time for someone who could take on the job of Princess. In Meghan, he found the perfect fit. These two are indeed soulmates. giving looks of love to each other while working together is the Sussex way.
This was not the first time that the Duke and Duchess have supported the Santa Barbara community. In May 2022, a tree fell on the Santa Barbara Food Bank building; and the offices upstairs were completely crushed. As compassionate citizens, the Sussexes stepped up to help their community. They organized a polo match to raise funds. The Los Padres charity polo with a purpose match raised funds for these local charities in Santa Barbara and surrounding areas. The funds raised benefited the following charities:
- Food bank Santa Barbara
- CALM4KidsSanta Barbara
- Healthe ocean Santa Barbara
Money donated also went to help the food bank cover costs that may not have been covered by insurance to replace the generator destroyed by the tree.
Other projects the Duke and Duchess have contributed to in their home state of California include:
Participating in a drive-thru distribution of school supplies and other critical items to students with Baby2Baby nonprofit.
The ripple of support has been felt far and wide and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have used their platform to support their local first responders in the Santa Barbara community.
The decision by the royal family to take away honorary military appointments and royal patronages from Prince Harry and Princess Meghan has backfired spectacularly. British charities are suffering immensely, and many are closing due to a lack of funding and attention from the remaining royals.
The Sussexes continue to partner with global organizations to make an impact. As Patron of Invictus Games Prince Harry & Meghan met with the NATO military chiefs, the President of Germany and Defense secretaries and ministers supporting the injured warriors in Germany. More than 140,000 spectators came to the event and 67 countries tuned in or participated. Now that’s what you call impact! And the Sussexes are just getting started and proving daily that service is universal.
