There is a consorted effort by the British press to paint the Duchess of Sussex the former Meghan Markle as social climber who does not deserve to be in the British royal family because she lacks the pedigree. While the British tabloids are known for their unbridled war on truth; everyone is entitled to their own opinions but not to their facts. Facts are facts and facts are stubborn. Whether people like it or not Meghan Markle was a global player long before she married into the royal family and no tabloid smear campaign can change those facts. The important thing is that real world leaders knew her name and work ethic and her work speaks for itself.

The fact is Meghan Markle was a global player at the highest levels of power and politics which is hard for many racists to fathom because as the sun set on the British empire it rose on the Americans and with globalization we have come to experience the rise of the rest. Getting a standing ovation from the UN Secretary General as an ordinary American is an accomplishment of the highest order. When you get to travel with the highest military officer in the world’s best army the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Army Gen. Martin E. Dempsey you have to be very extraordinary. Then of course Meghan Markle worked 7 years on the highest rated cable show in the United States ‘Suits’ and the writers and producers cannot stop raving about her work ethic and what a pleasure it is to have worked with her ;then some tabloid writers who cannot get real jobs in newsrooms due to lack of skills and poor research and poor writing want to tell us that the dutiful Duchess of Sussex is ‘difficult’ to work with , we think not.

In December 2014, Meghan Markle, along with country star and USO tour vet Kellie Pickler, USO tour vet and comedian Rob Riggle, “Glee” co-star Dianna Agron, former Chicago Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher and then-Washington Nationals pitcher Doug Fister, went on a USO tour with with then-Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Army Gen. Martin E. Dempsey. A first-time USO tour participant, Markle visited five countries – Spain, Italy, Turkey, Afghanistan and England – during her tour and entertained thousands of service members and their families.
