When Kensington Palace announced that HRHs Duke & Duchess of Sussex were headed to Morocco it was a huge surprise. This is because the Duchess of Sussex was at the time very heavily pregnant. Prince Harry always said he was looking for someone to share his royal duties with, an added family member a team player. In Duchess Meghan he found his soulmate and together they are in Prince Harry’s words a ‘fantastic team’.
From their engagement interview
“But I know that at the end of the day, she chooses me and I choose her. And therefore you know whatever whatever we have to tackle together or individually, will always be us together as a team. So I think, I think she’s capable.
BBC- Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Engagement Interview 2017
She’s capable of she’s capable of anything. And together as I said there’s a hell of a lot of stuff, work that needs doing. At the moment for us, it’s going to be making sure that our relationship is always put first, but both of us have passions for wanting to make change, change for good. And you know with lots of young people running around the commonwealth, that’s where we’ll spend most of our time hopefully.”
At 7 months pregnant The Duke and Duchess of Sussex traveled to Morocco after a request from Her Majesty’s government in support of the UK.
According to Omid Scobie reputable Royal reporter :
Climbing into a helicopter to fly deep into Morocco’s Atlas Mountains, you would be forgiven for forgetting that Duchess Meghan is over seven months pregnant. In fact, given how busy recent months have been for the new royal, it would be tough for anyone to object if she wanted to sit out the early-morning expedition—especially after flying in from London less than 48 hours earlier.
Thomas Reilly British Ambassador to Morocco had this to say of the Duchess’ work ethic:
“Her energy is boundless,” British Ambassador to Morocco Thomas Reilly, who escorted the Duke and Duchess of Sussex on their three-day visit to the country, “Here’s a woman jumping into a helicopter to fly 1,400 meters [almost 4,600 feet] high, still smiling and ready to do it all, ready to push the issues that matter.”
Duchesss Meghan’ s friend told HarpersBazaar
“That’s ‘Super Meg’ for you—giving it her all. Her energy levels have never failed to impress me.”
The Duchess of Sussex has a commitment to the Crown and to supporting Queen Elizabeth’s government and her family. After all she is a Mountbatten Windsor now and she has proved to naysers that though she is an American she is dedicated to the cause of the British monarchy.
“Well you’re also one of us now,” . Ambassador Reilly affirmed after the Duchess reminded him that she is after all American.
“I can’t think of better ambassadors for the U.K.,”
“You’re both gems.”
