The Cambridges the so-called advocates for mental health declared war on the Duchess of Sussex at a vulnerable time in her life. She was carrying a child and what should have been one of the most peaceful happiest times was turned into an emotional and reputational war zone.

Leaders must accept responsibility and correct behavior

Prince William is the future king. He should be held responsible for the bullying against an innocent pregnant woman whose only crime is falling in love with the 6th in line to the British throne.

All eyes inevitably landed on Kate the future queen. Everyone knows that Dampier and Richard Palmer are Kensington palace whisperers so at then end of 2019 there was an effort to spin the narrative. Kensington palace has egg on its face. Kate was on the wrong side of history, looking more like a follower and not a future queen. Now Kate is planting stories in the media about how her children ‘adore’ Archie. She is attempting to appear as a supporter of Meghan Markle to make herself look good and to capitalize on the Archie Effect.

Lack of Leadership to end human rights violations

Queen Elizabeth is the leader and she could have set the example that abuse will not be tolerated. Right now, her message has been that toxic behavior is tolerated. After all team reflects leadership and sets the tone for acceptable behavior. She had no trouble rushing to Andrew’s defense when he was accused of pedophilia activities. Everyone follows her lead. Queen Elizabeth as the head of state could have proven once and for all that she is a leader of integrity who believes in preserving women’s rights. After all women’s rights are human rights. Instead she bowed to tabloids and gave up her power.

For the sake of the baby Prince Harry had to uproot his family from toxic environment known as Kensington palace with all its negative energy to a positive environment of serenity Windsor Castle. And now from the UK to North America altogether.

Standup for what is right Speak out Against Bullying

72 British MPs broke their silence to stop the media madness. They showed global leadership at a time when it was lacking at Buckingham palace. The royal family gave up their moral and spiritual leadership when they decided to remain silent amid human rights violations at Kensington palace. The racist, sexist colonial undertones in the comment pieces and the relentless campaign against the former Meghan Markle begs the question why? Given that Prince Charles is leader of the Commonwealth he would be bothered about the colonial undertones in the reporting, but this was not the case. In the midst of this the 72 British MPs showed that they had the courage to stand up for what is right.

It is even more disheartening to see the Queen take the cowardly approach to say she did not know of Harry and Meghan’s decision to scale back and move to North America. How then did her mouthpieces at the Daily Beast, Daily Fail and Sun start reporting on the leak before it became public?

Follow the example of the 72 British lawmakers and create a safe space for others. Create a positive environment in 2020 to allow others to thrive. Send a word of encouragement, celebrate community vs competition to deliver solutions that will build a better future for all.

Women need a seat at the table, they need an invitation to be seated there and in some cases, where this isn’t available, well then you know what, then they need to create their own table.
