#ArchieDay Celebration With A Purpose #SaveWithStories

Archie and Lili

Archie’s life brought about community connections. Strangers became acquaintances and even friends. His life has brought so much joy to the world. His parents promote positivity and likewise those who follow their work promote making the world better. His birthday brought with it celebration with a purpose by his parents #SaveWithStories and through the community that they have inspired through #SussexGreatForest and #ArchieDay Campaigns.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex celebrated their firstborn’s son Archie’s first birthday with a reading of the children’s book “Duck! Rabbit! for the Save With Stories” campaign the purpose was to help children affected by the coronavirus pandemic. #SaveWithStories is being done by Save The Children charity.

“Duck! Rabbit!” is one of Archie’s “favorite” books. The 2009 story by Amy Krouse Rosenthal plays on the popular duck-rabbit optical illusion. As they celebrate this family moment, the Duke and Duchess wanted to continue to raise awareness around the urgency of bringing food and learning resources to millions of children. The Duchess chose to read one of Archie’s favourite stories, ‘Duck! Rabbit!

Statement from Duke and Duchess of Sussex
